- Two top officials of a Child Home terminated following complaints of child abuse
- WCD Minister Sandeep Kumar orders FIR under POCSO provisions

Women and Child Welfare Minister Sandeep Kumar on Friday ordered the termination of two officials with immediate effect, who were working at the Lajpat Nagar Village Cottage Home for children, and also ordered registration of an FIR against the Superintendant of the Home.
The stern action followed the minister’s inspection of the Home, since he had received information that some girl children had complained about the Home Superintendant having misbehaved with them.
It was also brought to the minister’s notice that the agitated children had protested against such misbehaviour.
On reaching the spot, the minister asked the officials to talk to the children and get their version in presence of women staff members.
It was reported that the Superintendant had allegedly taken minor girls to an isolated room and tried to indulge in physical abuse with them.
It was also brought to notice that a woman welfare officer was also involved in misbehaviour along with this superintendant, and she has also been terminated from service.
After consulting the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), the minister asked them to register an FIR against the Superintendant under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
He also directed the officials that if the woman welfare officer’s role also amounts to an offence, then her name should also be added in the FIR.

दिल्ली सरकार में महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री श्री संदीप कुमार ने लाजपत नगर स्थित विलेज कॉटेज होम के दो अधिकारियों को तत्काल प्रभाव से बर्खास्त कर उनके खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज कराने के आदेश दिये हैं.... दरअसल आज दिनांक 03/06/2016 को माननीय मंत्री जी को सूचना मिली थी कि 10 साल तक के बच्चों के लिए बनाये गये विलेज कॉटेज होम में रह ही कुछ बच्चियों ने वहां के सुपरिटेंडेंट के खिलाफ छेड़छाड़ का आरोप लगाया है और बच्चियां इसको लेकर काफी हंगामा कर रही है । जिसके बाद मंत्री संदीप कुमार मंत्रालय के अधिकारियों के साथ तुरंत मौके पर पहुंचे... इसके बाद मंत्री जी ने अपने साथ गई विशेष कार्य अधिकारी को बच्चियों के साथ बात करने के लिए निर्देशित किया... इस दौरान वहां विभाग की अन्य महिला अधिकारी और कर्मचारी मौजूद थीं...बच्चियों का आरोप था कि सुपरिटेंडेंट राम सहाय मीना बच्चियों को एक कमरे में ले गया और दरवाज़ा बंद कर बच्चियों के साथ शारीरिक छेड़छाड़ की है । इसके बाद मंत्री जी ने विलेज कॉटेज होम के सुपरिटेंडेंट से बात की उसने वहां कि वेलफेयर अफसर राखी पर आरोप लगाया कि उसने उससे कहा था कि तुम लड़कियों के साथ रुको और मैं लड़कों के साथ रुक जाती हूं इस पर मंत्री जी ने वेलफेयर अफसर से बात की तो उसने बात को गोलमोल करने की कोशिश की.....जिस पर मंत्री जी ने तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए विलेज कॉटेज होम के सुपरिटेंडेंट राम सहाय मीना और वेलफेयर अफसर राखी को तत्काल प्रभाव से बर्खास्त कर दिया और साथ ही मौके पर मौजूद विभाग के अधिकारियों को सुपरिटेंडेंट राम सहाय मीना के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज कराने के लिए आदेशित किया है साथ ही विभाग के अधिकारियों के निर्देशित किया है कि अगर जांच के दौरान वेलफेयर अधिकारी राखी भी दोषी पाई जाती है तो उसके खिलाफ भी एफआईआर दर्ज कराई जाए । इसके बाद मंत्री जी ने चाईल्ड वैलफेयर कमेटी के सदस्यों से भी बात की । चाईल्ड वैलफेयर कमेटी POCSO एक्ट के तहत सुपरिटेंडेंट के खिलाफ एफआईआर करने की तैयारी कर रही है ।
