- Excise teams begin inspections of liquor vends & departmental stores of Delhi
Following directions of the Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia, the Excise Department has initiated surprise inspections to check the illegal sale and consumption of liquor in violation of the Delhi Excise Act.
The Department has handed over the report of the first day of its exercise (Wednesday) to the Deputy Chief Minister. Main features of Wednesday’s inspections were as follows :
· Seven teams of the Excise Department conducted inspections at Nehru Place, Paharganj, Motipur, Rajendra Place, Rohini and Gujranwala Town.
· An FIR was registered at the Alipur Police Station (Outer Delhi) against a restaurant under the Excise Act on the GT karnal Road for illegally serving alcohol at its premises without a valid licence of running a Bar.
· Excise Department has directed its teams to carry out inspections on following points : Information on CCTV, instructions to vend managers about strictly disallowing nuisance, record any deficiency if any found and give complete remarks about their inspections.
· During the inspections it was found that liquor vends had installed CCTVs in accordance with directions issued to them and these were found to be functional.
· No major violation was found in the departmental stores during inspections.
· It was noticed that chillers in majority of departmental stores were found to be non-functional.
· All liquor vends inspected were directed to strictly report all cases of illegal consumption of liquor to the Excise Department control room immediately.
शराब की दुकानों पर एक्साइज विभाग का इंस्पेक्शन शुरू
दिल्ली के उप-मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया के निर्देश के बाद दिल्ली के विभिन्न इलाकों में शराब की दुकानों पर एक्साइज विभाग की टीमों का सरप्राइज इंस्पेक्शन जारी है। पहले दिन यानी 26 अक्टूबर, बुधवार को विभाग की 7 टीमों ने दिल्ली के नेहरू प्लेस, पहाड़गंज, रोहिणी, मोतीपुर, गुजरावालां टाउन, राजेंद्र प्लेस में शराब की दुकानों और उनके आसपास का इंस्पेक्शन किया। यहां ‘दिल्ली एक्साइज एक्ट’ के उल्लंघन का कोई मामला सामने नहीं आया है। टीमों ने पता लगाया कि दुकानों में सीसीटीवी लगे हैं या नहीं, सीसीटीवी चल रहे हैं या नहीं। टीमों ने विशेषरूप से इस बात का भी पता लगाया कि दुकानों के आसपास लोग खुलेआम शराब तो नहीं पी रहे हैं।
ऐसे डिपार्टमेंटल स्टोर्स जहां बीयर और वाइन रखने की अनुमति है वहां भी निर्धारित 15 फीसदी से ज्यादा बीयर और वाइन नहीं मिली। कुछ डिपार्टमेंटल स्टोर्स में तो चिलर भी काम नहीं कर रहे थे। डिपार्टमेंटल स्टोर्स में चिलर में बीयर रखने की मनाही है।
उल्लेखनीय है कि 24 अक्टूबर को उप-मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने एक्साइज विभाग के अधिकारियों के साथ मयूर विहार फेस 2 में शराब की कुछ दुकानों पर छापा मारा था जिसमें एक दुकान का लाइसेंस सस्पेंड कर दिया गया था।
अवैध तरीके से शराब बेचने वाले एक रेस्टोरेंट के खिलाफ एफआईआर
जीटी करनाल रोड अवैध तरीके से शराब बेचने वाले एक रेस्टोरेंट के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज कराई गई है। एक्साइज विभाग की एक इंस्पेक्शन टीम दुकान पर पहुंची तो पता चला कि उसके पास शराब परोसने का लाइसेंस नहीं है लेकिन वहां शराब परोसी जा रही है। इसके बाद टीम ने रेस्टोरेंट के खिलाफ ये कार्रवाई की गई।
