  • Delhi Jal Board on unauthorised submissions by a counsel in the Hon’ble Supreme Court :

The Delhi Jal Board has noted with concern the contents of the written submissions filed by counsel Shri Suresh Ch. Tripathy in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on 8th April, 2016 in Special Reference No.1 of 2004 (Under Article 143(1) of the Constitution of India), In Re : The Punjab Termination of Agreement Act, 2004.

These written submissions were filed by the counsel without the same having been approved by any Authority in the Delhi Jal Board.

It has been cross-checked that the contents of these written submissions are more or less a repeat of the stand taken by the then Congress Government of Delhi in the year 2006, when an affidavit was filed in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

It should be noted that the Delhi Jal Board does not agree with the written submissions filed by the counsel in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the above Reference.

The Delhi Jal Board has accordingly decided to remove the said counsel Shri Suresh Ch. Tripathy from its panel, who was appointed by the previous Congress Government.

The Delhi Jal Board shall be approaching the Hon’ble Supreme Court with the request to allow time to file fresh written submissions.
