- Parents no longer will have to stand in queues for admission of their children in 6th class in Delhi govt schools
- Deputy CM directs principals & teachers of Delhi govt schools to handover admissions slips in MCD schools from 15th March to 1st April
- Admission data will be made online after getting data from MCDs and admission slips will be handed over to students
For the first time, parents of children seeking admission to 6th class in Delhi government schools will no longer have to stand in queues outside these schools.
Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Mr Manish Sisodia on Wednesday directed the department to send principals and teachers of Delhi government schools to MCDs run schools and handover admission slips between March 15 to April 1 2017 for 6th class to children studying in 5th class students, during the current academic session.
Mr Sisodia held a meeting with the officials of Directorate of Education and commissioners of the MCDs in this regard.
It was also decided in the meeting that on a particular day to be decided closer to the date between 1st and 15th April, children and teachers of MCDs schools will be invited to government schools for celebrating children parties.
With this decision, the Delhi government has done away with the prevalent practice so far according to which children passing 5th class from MCD feeder schools had to approach link schools for admission in 6th class and their parents had to run from pillar to post for getting the admission procedure completed.
From now on, the entire admission process will be made online after taking the data from the MCDs and admission slips will be made available to children.
Mr Sisodia asked the education officials of MCDs to organise summer camps in their schools also during summer vacations and also encourage reading abilities of children.

- दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों के प्रिंसिपल्स और टीचर्स, नगर निगम के स्कूलों में बच्चों को देकर आएंगे एडमिशन स्लिप
- नये स्कूल में बच्चों और उनके नगर निगम वाले स्कूल के टीचर्स को एक दिन पार्टी भी दी जाएगी
नई दिल्ली। नगर निगम के स्कूलों से पांचवीं पास करके दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों में 6वीं में एडमिशन लेने वाले बच्चों और उनके पैरेंट्स को अब स्कूल के चक्कर नहीं काटने पड़ेंगे। अब दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों के प्रधानाचार्य और शिक्षक 15 मार्च से 1 अप्रैल के बीच नगर निगम के स्कूलों में जाएंगे और वहां उन बच्चों को एडमिशन स्लिप देकर आएंगे जिनके एडमिशन उनके स्कूलों में हुए हैं। इस बारे में उप-मुख्यमंत्री और शिक्षा मंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने बुधवार को नगर निगमों के कमिश्नर्स और शिक्षा निदेशकों के साथ एक बैठक की। इसके अलावा ये भी फैसला लिया गया कि 1 अप्रैल से 15 अप्रैल के बीच किसी एक दिन बच्चों और नगर निगम के उनके टीचर्स को दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूल में विशेषरूप से बुलाया जाएगा और उनके लिए एक छोटी सी पार्टी आयोजित की जाएगी।
अब तक नगर निगम के ‘फीडर स्कूलों’ से 5वीं पास करके दिल्ली सरकार के ‘लिंक स्कूलों’ में 6वीं में एडमिशन प्राप्त करने वाले बच्चों और उनके अभिभावकों को स्कूल के कई-कई बार चक्कर काटने पड़ते थे, इसीलिए दिल्ली सरकार ने ये फैसला लिया है। इसके तहत नगर निगम के स्कूलों से डाटा लेकर पूरी प्रवेश प्रक्रिया को ऑनलाइन कर लिया जाएगा और एडमिशन स्लिप बच्चे को उपलब्ध करा दी जाएगी।
बैठक में शिक्षा मंत्री ने नगर निगमों के शिक्षा निदेशकों से ये भी कहा कि गर्मियों की छुट्टियों वे अपने स्कूलों में भी समर कैंप का आयोजन करवाएं और चुनौती के तहत बच्चों की रीडिंग एबिलिटी बढ़ाने पर भी काम करें।
