Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Manish Sisodia today said that AAP Government in Delhi has emerged out of Anti Corruption movement and has got massive and historic mandate. Our Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal is well known anti corruption crusaders in the entire globe. Our Government is committed zero tolerance towards corruption.

Shri Sisodia was addressing a delegation of Cambodia including four senators (members of upper house of Parliament), came to call on the Deputy Chief Minister today and to discuss legal framework and efforts made by Delhi Government to combat corruption. The four member delegation was headed by Senator Mr. Mam Bunneang. Chief Secretary, Delhi Shri KK Sharma, Principal Secretary Finance, Shri SN Sahai, Principal Secretary GAD, Shri Ramesh Negi, Secretary Vigilance, Shri Sukesh Kumar Jain and Spl. Secretary Vigilance, Shri B.S. Rawat were also present on this occasion.

Shri Sisodia presented mementos to the visiting delegates and the Head of the delegation also presented memento to Deputy Chief Minister on behalf of Cambodian Parliament.

Shri Sisodia informed the delegates that quick and stringent action is taken against the delinquent public servants, irrespective of their rank/post they may be holding. The Government is struggling for bringing a strong Jan Lok Pal in order to curb the corruption. The bill has been passed by the Delhi Government and is pending with the Central Government for approval.

Shri Sisodia further informed the delegates that a number of measures have been taken by the Delhi Government to curb the corruption. He said that Anti Corruption Helpline was launched, Online Filing of complaints was started, public awareness campaigns were launched for mass awareness, Special Vigilance Commissioners were appointed, Feedback unit was started, Citizen Charters were prepared.

The Head of the delegation Senator Mr. Mam Bunneang was highly impressed with the measures taken by the Government of Delhi in order to check the corruption.

He appreciated anti-corruption measures taken by Delhi Government and expressed that Cambodian Government can learn a lot from Delhi Government in the area of anti-corruption.
