  • DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER SHRI MANISH SISODIA LAUNCHES A SPECIAL SIX DIGIT TRADE HELPLINE NUMBER 155055.
  • THE 1ST TRADERS HELPLINE IN THE COUNTRY, FULLY BACKED BY A PROFESSIONAL CALL CENTRE HAVING 30 TELEPHONE LINES MANNED BY TRAINED PROFESSIONALS.
  • THE HELPLINE WILL FACILITATE TRADERS IN GUIDING THEM FOR STARTING NEW BUSINESS, WILL PROVIDE DETAILS ABOUT VARIOUS SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE TRADE & TAXES DEPTT.
  • THE HELPLINE WILL RECEIVE COMPLAINTS WILL ESCALATE THESE COMPLAINTS TO SENIOR OFFICERS AUTOMATICALLY, IF NOT REDRESSED IN TIME.
  • THE HELPLINE WILL PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON RESOLUTION OF COMPLAINTS, WILL RECEIVE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT CHANGES IN POLICIES, RULES & COMPLAINTS/ INFORMATION ABOUT TAX EVASION.
  • THE DEPARTMENT WILL ENSURE THE SILENT MONITORING OF THE TRADE THROUGH THIS HELPLINE WHICH WILL BE NON- INTERACTIVE ENFORCEMENT- SHRI S.S. YADAV, COMMISSIONER, VAT.

In order to assist the traders of Delhi and persons tending to do business in the capital, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia today launched a unique six digit Trade Helpline no. 155055 in a function organized by the Department of Trade & Taxes at Delhi Secretariat. Shri Sisodia launched the Helpline by dialing the helpline number and talking to the professional handling the helpline asking her certain information about the Department. It was a live launch of the Helpline at Delhi Secretariat. The function was presided by Parliamentary Secretary to Finance Minister Shri Shiv Charan Goyal. Chief Secretary Shri K.K. Sharma was the Guest of Honour on this function. This is the first Helpline for the traders in the country, which is fully backed by professional call centre. 30 Telephone lines have been provided with sufficient manpower at the back to receive the call. The Helpline will function 14 hours a day from 8 AM to 10 PM. The trained professional will receive the call & readdress the grievances. A unique ID / complaint no. will be generated for each grievance and the statues of grievances can be tracked through the same ID.

Launching the Helpline Shri Sisodia said that the Helpline will facilitate the traders in guiding them in starting new business, guide in filing various forms and availing various services provided by Department of Trade & Taxes apart from answering the queries on various services, policy matters and system issues. He said that the Helpline will also provide information on legal issues. The Helpline will also receive the complaints and it will automatically escalate these complaints to the senior officers, if the complaint of the traders is not redressed in given time frame. Thereafter this will provide feedback on resolution of the complaint to the complainant. The Helpline will receive suggestions about the Policies, Rules & Acts and it will also receive the complaints/ information of tax evasion, Shri Sisodia said.

Shri Siodia advised Commissioner, VAT, Shri S.S. Yadav to further improve the helpline by instructing the officers, who are executing the Helpline to randomly check the telephone calls on the Helpline at least 05 times in a day for ascertaining about its better implementation.

The Commissioner, VAT, Shri S.S. Yadav informed the gathering about this unique facility provided by the Government to the traders to seek solution for their problems. He said that through this Helpline, Government will also ensure the silent monitoring of the trade which is non- interactive enforcement.
