Munak Canal Visit for Repair and Restoration :
· Water Minister Kapil Mishra led a delegation of DJB to the Munak Canal for site assessment, technical repair feasibility and rebuilding plan meeting

· Two large Earth-moving equipment called Poclain and Excavator provided by DJB to Haryana Government to remove the earth on site
· Water Minister Kapil Mishra accompanied by engineers and advisors at DJB, led by its CEO Keshav Chandra to fast-track canal repair work and restoration of water to Delhi
· Status update from the insights and plan at the site visit will be posted by 9-9.30 PM.
DJB improves Delhi’s Water Plants’ Efficiency :
· DJB teams have succeeded in starting the following plants at 100% capacity: Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla, thus servicing parts of North, South and Central Delhi.
· This has reduced the water burden in these areas, and 70 tankers have been diverted to West Delhi and NW Delhi.
· The Nangloi 40 MGD plant is now fully operational. This provides relief to Dwarka and parts of West Delhi.
· Delhi has received 120 MGD from Haryana till now, still a far cry from 580 MGD that is required. The government hopes that the situation improves and provides relief to citizens of Delhi
· Wazirabad levels have been dropping. DJB officials have taken contingency action and water levels should improve to ensure no problem in its working.
· Bawana, Nangloi, Haiderpur plants partial functional. Morning supply will be restored in areas like Rohini, Paschim Vihar etc. Haiderpur plant is still down due to low receipt of water from Haryana. Tankers will be redirected to concentrate in areas where water has not reached.
· All the plants are either functioning now either at full or partial capacity.

Efficient tanker management and customer support by DJB :
· Water tankers have been sent out to Shivaji Enclave, Deer Park, Rajendar Nagar, Saraswati Vihar, Netaji Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Moti Bagh, Pashchim Vihar, Punjabi Bagh, Rajendar Nagar, Ashok Vihar and Burari
· Very low pendency of complaints on DJB helpline; helpline is working overtime to ensure timely disposal of water complaints on 1916
· 1205 trips of water tankers in West Delhi by 1 PM. This area has been affected due to non-receipt of water from Haryana due to which Haiderpur plant hasn’t been able to function by 1 pm; number should reach over 2000 by end of the day
