- Delhi get solar CST award
Sri Sukesh Jain, Secretary Power, GNCTD received Excellence Award for maximum deployment of Concentrated Solar Thermal systems in Delhi from Sri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy.
Ministry of New & Renewable Energy organised CST and Solar Cooker Excellence Awards-2016 on 29th April 2016 at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. Sri R K Srivastava, EO, and Sri T.C. Sharma, from Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Management Center, Department of Power, GNCTD, which is responsible for promotion of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Delhi were also present.
The award ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy.
This is another feather in the cap of EEREM, Power Department, GNCTD which is committed to harness Renewable Energy resources in Delhi and have worked tirelessly in framing a solar policy and deployment of solar PV plants on the rooftops in Delhi besides CST, Energy Efficiency and conservation measures.
Sri Sukesh Jain said that Delhi Government is committed to its promise of making Delhi a Solar City and shall endeavour to tap the renewable energy resources optimally.
