- Delhi CM inaugurates 945 new community toilets for the national capital
As part of the Delhi government’s firm commitment to make the national capital open defecation free, a total of 945 new community toilets were inaugurated on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Mr Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated a Toilet Complex at JJ Basti Bhoomiheen Camp, Kalkaji, constructed by the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, to kick off the day-long programme to add new toilets in JJ clusters across Delhi.
More than 7,000 new community toilets have been built since the government assumed office on 14th February 2015 and the governments intends to further intensify this work.
