- Delegation from University of Southern California visits Mohalla Clinic/Polyclinic in Delhi
- Delegation included Professors and Students from the University
- Delegation lauds the clinics and Delhi’s healthcare system

A delegation, comprising of Professors and Students, from the University of Southern California met the Minister of Health, Government of Delhi Mr. Satyendar Jain on July 27, 2016 at the Delhi Secretariat.
Earlier, on July 26, the delegation visited the Peeragarhi Mohalla Clinic and Pashchim Vihar Polyclinic started by the Delhi Government. They studied the working of both the clinics and interacted with staff and patients present there.
On July 27, they met the minister and lauded the steps being taken by the government of Delhi in the health sector. Specially, they were amazed to see the Mohalla Clinic and Polyclinic.
“We read about the steps being taken by the Delhi Government in healthcare sector in the media and decided to come. What we were amazed to see that the Mohalla Clinics are offering such high quality healthcare and that too for free. This is nowhere to be seen, not even in the US,” they said.
They also held discussions on the visions of the Arvind Kejriwal led-Delhi Government on the health sector. The students of the delegation are pursuing their courses in Global Medicine.
The delegation also extended an informal invite to the Health Minister to visit their campus and talk on the healthcare initiatives being taken by the Delhi Government.
