  • CM directs DUSIB to begin immediate repairs in colonies of 1984 riot victims families

Chief Minister Mr Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday directed the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) to immediately begin the repair work in colonies where the families of 1984 riot victims reside in different parts of the national capital.

The decision to repair atleast 2,000 flats in eight localities was taken in a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister and attended by the heads of various departments of Delhi government

It was reported in the meeting that immediate repair work in common facilities in the colonies located in following areas is required :

Tilak Vihar, Garhi, Raghubir Nagar, Sangam Park, Jahangir Puri, GT Road Shahdara, Kalkaji and Madipur.

Delhi government will provide funds for this work and the initial estimate is Rs 10 crore, which will be revised on the basis of the actual estimate, since no attention has been paid

The DUSIB has initiated the process of surveying these colonies following directions that the condition of colonies where the families of victims reside is worrying and requires urgent attention.
