- · Delhi Chief Secretary tells to the delegates of 3rd South Asian Summit 2016 about the all round progress of Delhi.
- · Chief Secretary informed that the delegates that the Kejriwal Government is doing a lot for ameliorating the condition of the poor and needy.
- · On health sector our Government is doing the best, 1000 Mohalla Clinics to come up for the poor & needy, 500 Mohalla Clinics will be made by the end of this year – Shri K.K. Sharma.
- · Government has prepared a massive plan for transforming education system, double shift have been made in the schools.
- · To curb the pollution, Delhi Government plan Odd-Even Campaign which became successful by mass support of the people.
- · In the field of urban transport 11000 new buses will be added in the fleet, 1500 buses will be added within this year.
The Government of Delhi headed by Shri Arvind Kejriwal is formulating a number of policies & programmes for the welfare of the people and by giving the best services to its citizens for further making Delhi a Smart City. Chief Secretary, Delhi, Shri KK Sharma was speaking while participating in the 3rd South Asian Summit 2016 organised at Delhi on Smart City, inspirations & challenges. Shri Sharma informed the delegates about the people friendly policies and programmes launched by the Delhi Government. The Speaker, Lok Sabha, Smt. Sumitra Mahajan was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
Shri KK Sharma informed the delegates about the new Schemes launched by the Delhi Government for the welfare of the people with regard to urban transport, health, increased budget of education & taking the health care facilities at the door step of the people, curbing the pollution by implementing Odd-Even Formula successfully and by easing the urban transport.
Shri Sharma highlighted the plan of the Government to convert the Delhi Government Schools into double shift. He said that the Government has done a lot of work for transforming the education system. The Government has doubled the Education Budget for better schooling & education.
He said that for providing health facilities & better health care to the poor & needy, the Government has done its’ the best by opening 1000 Mohalla Clinics and for taking health facilities & health care at the door step of the people. 500 such Mohalla clinics will be set-up/ opened by the end of this year. Atmosphere in the Delhi Government run hospitals improved and has changed remarkably.
Shri Sharma said that for availing better urban transport and ensuring better connectivity with the villages and rural populace, the Government has planned to add 11000 new buses in the fleet of buses. 1500 buses will soon be added in the fleet for ease and comfortable journey of the people.
The Chief Secretary informed the delegates that for curbing the pollution, Government has planned the Odd-Even formula in the month of January, which got mass support from the people and became successful. Government also launched another Odd-Even campaign in the month of April from 15th April to 30th April. It also got mass support and became successful. He said that Govt. of Delhi is functioning by involving the people and seeking their cooperation in all fronts to achieve the best.
