Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal today said that the expenditure incurred on health and education is the investment for the better future of the country. That is why my Governments top priority is to provide better and good health and quality education to every citizen in the capital.

Shri Kejriwal was speaking while unfurling the Tri-colour on the state level celebration of 68th Republic Day organized by the Delhi Government at Chhatrashal Stadium. Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Manish Sisodia, Health Minister, Shri Satyender Jain, Tourism Minister, Shri Kapil Mishra, Environment Minister, Shri Imran Hussain, A number of MLAs, Chief Secretary, Dr. M. M. Kutty, Pr. Secretaries, Secretaries and HODs of various Departments also graced the occasion. The Chief Minister took the guard of honour from the contingents of Delhi police, Delhi Fire Service, Civil Defence, NCC and the school children. A grand cultural programme was also presented by the school children.

The Chief Minister 1st of all greeted the citizens of the country on the occasion of the Republic Day and remembered Dr. B. R. Ambedkar for his wonderful creation – The Indian constitution which was implemented from 26th January 1950.

Shri Kejriwal Said that Dr. B. R. Ambedkar gave such a vast constitution to this vast nation, which is regarded as best the constitution of the world.

Shri Kejriwal said, “I will also remind them that Governments are the institutions which make a country to grow. Democracy means the rule of the people and it is by the people, for the people and of the people. It is important to note that the Delhi government remembers this fact while taking decisions. It is the people who pursue growth and development and I will leave no stone unturned to ensure that Delhi’s citizens are happy, healthy and trained for the work that they’ll have to do to fulfill the dreams of our forefathers.”

Shri Kejriwal reiterated his Governments commitment to ensure transparency in nursery admission continue quality up gradation of education and work for better healthcare services in the Capital.

He further said that his government will ensure to make the admission process in schools more transparent. He said that his Government will make a check on private schools which want to extort money from the parents.

Shri Kejriwal stated that all Government Schools are being transformed rapidly towards providing quality and upgraded education under Chunauti 2018. We have provided better infrastructure in Government Schools. We are installing elevators and swimming in our Government Schools which is not even there in Private Schools. Which can be seen as a great and remarkable change. He congratulated the Principals, Heads of Schools and Teachers for bringing change in school education.

The Chief Minister also added that the success of Mohalla Clinics and positive response in education has further motivated the government to continue working for the students and people of Delhi.
