- PM 2.5 & PM 10 air pollution levels showing a marked decline in Delhi
14 Construction sites of Delhi Metro & 48 major construction sites challaned for violation of dust control measures
Delhi government has issued challans to 14 construction sites of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and 42 major construction sites of various authorities, including private builders for violating dust control measures.
These decisions were informed by concerned agencies in a meeting chaired by the nodal minister for controlling air pollution in the national capital, Mr Satyendar Jain on Wednesday.
Delhi Pollution Control Committee informed that the third phase inspections were again taken up in respect of 48 sites where the construction activity was found in progress in first and second phase of drive.
Out of 47 verification done out of these 48 sites, notices have been served to 42 project proponents vide letters dated 04.01.2016 for deposition of compensation of Rs 50,000 which were found defaulting.
The three Municipal Corporations, NDMC, Department of Revenue, DPCC and other agencies have provided the latest data of challans issued by them for burning of leaves in open areas.

Given below are the Dust Pollution Guidelines for Inspection of construction sites :
- Whether any Construction Material or debris stored/dumped on metalled road
- Whether tarpaulin on scaffolding around the area of construction & building provided
- Whether Construction material stored on any part of the street, roads in colony
- Whether the construction material stored on the site fully covered
- Whether the vehicles carrying the construction material & debris are fully covered
- Whether the vehicles carrying the construction material & debris of any kind are cleaned before it is permitted to ply on the road after unloading of such material
- Whether every worker working on the construction site are provided with mask to prevent inhalation of dust particles
- Whether arrangement for medical help, investigation and treatment to the workers involved in the construction
- Whether sprinkling of water and fine spray from nozzles to suppress the dust provided
- Whether green air barrier created
- Whether wetjet being used in grinding and stone cutting
- Whether wind breaking walls around construction site provided and its height
- Green belt around the building provided or not
- Whether C & D waste is transported to authorised C & D waste processing site only and due record in that behalf is maintained
- Any other measures taken to control dust pollution
